So last night was
...the last quiz I presented at The Ship Of Fools. It was busy, and fun. I awarded extra points to teams with the names 'We love [Lemonsquash]' and 'Sleeping with her was like opening the patio windows and fucking the horizon'. There was a music round with the opening threads of such classics as 'Highway To The Danger Zone' by Kenny Loggins. There was an überindulgent multiple-choice round on yours truly. Lots of people bought me cider. There were japes and larks. One team won the £99 jackpot. And I got a big round of applause as it finished, which made me blush.
At the end of the evening, numerous people shook my hand, and either asked if I planned to return to this edge of the world at some point, or otherwise bid me a good life.
Things are wrapping up.

FloatOn - it certainly got the biggest laugh. Although I also quite liked a team which included 'Miss E. Norma Stitz'.

Nooma's team got nine out of ten on the round on me. Which is two more than Blonde Curly Physio's team, and we've known each other since we were twelve.

Although I was wrong about the Biohazard concert, and the Caroline Quentin question was a guess, but it rang a bell so I think you have told me that question before. That is what you get for chatting on msn for 2 years. I was mocked for knowing too much about you, and a man with a bald head who marked our sheet informed our team that we were 'sad'. Not so sad when we were scoffing our free chocolates and wine. Happy, even. I think in this instance jealousy was rearing its ugly head. People do not like LOSING quizzes. They like WINNING them. Like MY TEAM. w00t!
Unfortunately, I did shamefully badly in the quiz that Nooma just set me about herself, and I think I'm in the doghouse.
